Amy, your music sent me into another world at the FL Folk Festival. It captured my heart and soul...thank you. My beloved and I spent the weekend there with a friend of ours. (We said hello after your first 'gig' on Saturday afternoon, when you and your beloved were putting your guitar in your van.) Thank you for the gift of your music. I have been enjoying your CD "These Are My Own" in my car today.

I often go to the BR UU and hear Amy sing. She makes a sermon into a song! Went to the last Labryinth Cafe and brought friends. We were all BLOWN AWAY. Amy, I can see you selling many of your CDs and becoming rich and famous BUT for now, you are right where you should be -- a joy and inspiration for the people of this area. Thank you so much for sharing your talent. I hum your songs constantly in my mind as I relax after a long day. You are so gifted.

P.S. I've since downloaded your new CD - Rhythm-Rhyme-Reason, and coincidentally, it is now (on my list) right above Carole King's "album", "Rhymes and Reasons" - an old (but great) album that I'm very fond of. I'm mentioning this because I hope you know (or will check out) my fav song on that, "I think I can hear you" ... it's how I feel about God when I'm doubtful, but know he/she is there, still. Would love to hear YOU sing it sometime :) Thanks, Amy, for lifting our spirits today! Fondly, Mary

Amy, I can't thank you enough for the joy your music has brought to my heart since I heard you last year at my first Willfest. It was SO wonderful to see/hear/meet you today (and your wonderful partner, Brook). Listened to your new CD on the way home to Clearwater - AWESOME! I'll definitely try to be there for your CD release party on my birthday- can't wait! :) Something came back alive in me last March when I heard you - it helped renew my soul after just finishing my breast cancer/chemo treatments - you've been with me ever since, in my heart, with your voice and music. God bless you and yours and I'll see you SOON! And CONGRATS on (soon) becoming a UU minister - a perfect fit for you! You already do great things - that's going to be the icing on the cake! Good for you, girl - those who will join you will surely be blessed by you! Wish it was on this coast of Florida! Maybe you'll come to UU here sometime? :) Don't ever stop being YOU! We love you, Amy!

Lina and I loved your performance at Dunelon last weekend. You were so uplifting and it was an honour to attend. We left the station and went over to the Blue Gator for dinner. I told my wife that I had a feeling that you would be there and sure enough you showed up just as the group that was performing began playing one of songs that we had just enjoyed listening to you play so much.
Spooky!
You'r really GREAT!
Thank you
Keep up the wonderful music

When my office mates and friends came home from GA this year, I was really curious about this "amazing song" they were all talking about. I found the UUA YouTube video, watched it and listened hard; and found myself in tears. They were tears of longing and desire for a world that could and would stand as one, they were tears of grief and sorrow for how torn and seperated we are as a human society. Finally there came tears of joy and gratitude in the realizaton that I am so blessed to work and worship with a community that does stand together. Thank you for your truly inspiring lyrics and music!

I was deeply inspired by your performance of "Stand" at GA and am so grateful that you have made a recording of the song available! It says *exactly* what I want a UU hymn to say--I want it in the next hymnal! I second the request for sheet music of this wonderful song; my Fellowship's choir would buy that in a cold minute :) Thanks again for writing something so right and inspiring.

I was so privileged to join in singing with you at GA in SLC this year. Your wonderful song "Stand" is stilling playing in my head. I hope you are still planning to make the sheet music available to those of us in the GA choir so we can use it in our congregations. We (the choir of the UU Church of Delaware County, Media, PA) would love to sing it at In-Gathering Sunday in September. Do you think it will be ready before that? Thanks again for sharing your wonderful gift with us. Joyce McKee

Many Blessings Amy,
I've had lots of "jobs," but I am a singer/songwriter--found the soul notes 35 years ago, after many years spent with music. Lots of stretches of desert along the way since then. Your performance at Indy Folk Series in Indianapolis was, and is, an oasis of courage, hope, inspiration and creativity--and simply the pure joy of song-- which I believe will refresh me for a good long while. You are a consummate musician, and actor, and so many of the stories you sang are stories I've lived, and friends of mine have lived. Purchased "Songweaver," and "Naked: No Tricks." I have such respect for the clarity, skill and grace it takes to bring ease and openness to a solo performance and a solo album. Thank you for helping me find my way again. May you always draw from the universal well-spring of creativity and caring which you share with others. Thank you, Jim

Well I just got home from my first folk festival up in Dunellon. Was definately just blown away when I watched and heard the Daughters of Florida. Your "energy" and stage appearance had me mesmerized. When you sang Turtle Tears I think my tears about made the Withlacoochee River rise an inch or two. Will be seeing you when ever possible. Thanks so much.

Hi Amy,
I too enjoyed your gift at the conference in Alburquerque, New Mexico. I believe music heals and listening especially to "Long Goodbye" and "Let Me Sing For the Baby" amongst others deeply moved, stirred, and helped with the process of healing my broken heart. Peace and Blessings

Do you prefer to be called Amy, or Carol? Or both? Either way, we enjoyed and were blessed by your music at the Albuquerque, Weeping & Laughing conference, especially by the way you were able to relate the music to the flow of the conference. Thank you for generously sharing your music after the banquet on the 1st! If we have the chance we will vote for having you at another of the Center for Action and Contemplation conferences! May God continue to bless your work!

What a thrill to share the main stage with you at this year's Florida Folk Festival. You called us on stage, we got the song off the ground, and with "Mystery Tree" flying safely, I looked across the stage, saw you, then Carrie Blackwell Hussey, and past her the beautiful lady intrepreting the song into sign language. That is a picture I'll hold in my heart and I'm thankful for the chance to honor Steve in such a grand way.
Thanks for sharing your artistry and vision.

I am one of the sign language interpreters that works the FL Folk Festival. Thank you for signing to my soul. As an interpreter/sometimes performer, you influence my mind, heart, and soul to reach back into experience to 'see' the present through your voice, your words - proving a common history.
After listening to Long Goodbye for a gazillion times, I will be going home to Wisconsin to spend time with the wonderful woman who used to be my Grandmother. She no longer knows me when I call to talk a while. So I send her favorite flowers and the roses become my heart - her favorite flowers - and she knows she is loved. It is time for me now to say my goodbyes with a fully grateful heart with love and gentleness. Thank you for helping me with that very personal process. I am taking your songs to my Mother - who needs to confirm to herself she is sooooo worthy as a child, a mother, a friend, and the primary caregiver to her mother, my grandmother, during this journey of the Long Goodbye.
Your truths have freed me once again. Thank you - from your heart through mine, and out my hands to the eyes of those with hearts as well.

I saw your name on the list for the Women's Music Festival next year on their website, so checked out your website. I enjoyed the samples of your songs. Perhaps we could have the lyrics of some of your songs also on the website? Maybe you can come to Houston some day. A friend of mine sometimes promotes small concerts. Her name is Deborah Bell: *** To send general announcements to all women in Houston send your info to Deborah Bell at thedivadeb@yahoo.com for posting on FEMNET.Feminist email list in Houston.
